Drone Wars UK, CND, and Oxfordshire Peace Campaign are organising a public meeting and demonstration in January to highlight the role of Fairford US air base in the ‘new Cold War’. There are plans to deploy US Global Hawk and Reaper spy drones at the Gloucestershire military base and a task force of B52 heavy bombers is currently there on a temporary deployment to rehearse for war in Europe.

The drones will use RAF Fairford as a base for secretive US surveillance missions, only intensifying the UK’s complicity in far-reaching US military intelligence activities. Join us as we learn more about and resist this dangerous development, and its worrying consequences both locally and globally.
