No US nukes in Britain! Don’t make us a target! CND webinar, 12 February

With news that US nuclear weapons could now be deployed here in Britain, CND is ramping up the pressure on the government. On Tuesday, CND launched a legal challenge against the Ministry of Defence and Suffolk County Council over its failure to include an emergency plan for any accidents involving these new nuclear bombs at RAF Lakenheath. Find out more here.

With your help we’re also urging MPs to take the government to task and end its nuclear secrecy about US nuclear deployments to Britain.

More actions you can take to help stop the return of US nukes to Britain

  • Lobby your MP: If you haven’t done so already, please write to your MP, asking them to call on the Prime Minister to make an urgent statement on the status of US nuclear deployments to Britain. You can find a model letter that you can adapt here.
  • Visit your MP’s constituency office: On Friday, 14 February, we are asking supporters and CND groups to arrange a meeting with your local MPs at their constituency office and hand in a letter expressing your concerns about US nuclear deployments. You can find a template letter to adapt as you see fit here. Why not make it a visual protest by bringing banners and signs. Download this simple poster, take some photos, and share with us on social media using the hashtag, #EndNukeSecrecy.
