Southern Region CND AGM - Speaker is Paul Mobbs of Croughtonwatch
Event Date: 8th April 2017
Location: West Oxford Community Centre (Mary Town Room) , Botley Road, Oxford OX2 0BT
Meeting 12 noon – 3pm
SPEAKER:- (1.00pm) – the speaker will be Paul Mobbs of ‘Croughtonwatch’. Paul is a very experienced peace campaigner and is an authority on the developments at a major US base in our region – US Croughton.
The Pentagon is starting to spend up to £200m on turning Croughton into a major intelligence base. This will involve shutting US bases Alconbury and Molesworth, and moving their 1500 personnel to Croughton, and developing more digital space communications and intelligence facilities there.
Paul is about to launch a new report on all these developments, and will give his first talk on the report at this Southern region AGM in Oxford.
Please make a special effort to come, maybe with friends and please let other interested local contacts and peace groups know too.
