The conference will hear from a range of inspiring speakers, including Omar Barghouti, the co-founder of the BDS movement, Zack Polanski, the Deputy Leader of the Green Party, and Frances Black, member of the Seanad Éireann (Senate of Ireland) and spokesperson for the Campaign to Pass the Occupied Territories Bill.

The conference marks 20 years since the initial Palestinian call for BDS, and will look at how we strengthen our campaigns against Britain’s complicity in Israel’s genocide and apartheid.

Breakout sessions will discuss key BDS campaigning priorities, including building the mass boycott of Israeli goods and Coca-Cola; taking on the Britain’s arms trade with Israel; and strengthening divestment campaigns targeting Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) funds.

We have received a clear message from Palestine about the best way to show solidarity with their struggle: we must mobilise popular pressure, across every sector of society, to break the ties of complicity linking Britain to Israel’s machine of murder and oppression.

In every arena of society, we must continue to build campaigns for local councils, universities, cultural institutions, and financial institutions like Barclays, to cut their ties to apartheid and divest their funds from companies that are arming and enabling Israel’s genocide.
