Events in Bristol on 80th anniversary of bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki
We usually only contact you when a new edition of Bristol CND’s newsletter, Peace Matters, is published. This unusual extra mailing is to let you know about three important events taking place in Bristol in the next few days.
We are sending it to you and other local/national politicians and campaigning organisations in and around the Bristol area because we want to raise awareness of our campaigning activities and current key issues.
- On Wed 6th August and Sat 9th August, events commemorating the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
- And on Mon 11th August, a public speaker meeting “Peace or War? Challenging war hysteria” with the editor and contributors to The Alternative Defence Review which you may have heard about in the national press recently.
See below for details of all three.
Best wishes
6th August 1945 – Hiroshima
9th August 1945 – Nagasaki
