Event Date: 8th September 2025
Location: Online 3pm BST
We regret to inform you that our event scheduled for today, Monday 8th September at 3pm UK time has been cancelled.
We were very much looking forward to hearing from Dr. Ghassan Abu-Sittah, British-Palestinian Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, on the devastating health impacts of war and his first-hand experiences operating in Gaza. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we are unable to proceed on this date.
We hope to reschedule this important discussion as soon as possible, and we will notify you once a new date is confirmed.
Thank you for your understanding, and for your continued commitment to learning and acting together in solidarity.
With best wishes,
The Britain Palestine Project Team

We are honoured to welcome Dr Ghassan Abu-Sittah, British-Palestinian Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, for our next webinar.
Dr Abu-Sittah trained in Glasgow and London, with fellowships at Great Ormond Street and the Royal London Hospital. In 2024, he was elected Lord Rector of the University of Glasgow and awarded an honorary doctorate by the American University of Beirut Medical Center, where he is now Professor of Conflict Medicine.
In October 2023, he spent 43 harrowing days in Gaza, operating at Shifa and Al-Ahli Baptist Hospitals. His frontline testimony and medical records have since contributed to South Africa’s genocide case at the ICJ and to proceedings at the International Criminal Court.
Don’t miss this vital conversation on medicine, war, and justice.
Warm wishes,
The Britain Palestine Project Team
