Abingdon Peace Group Vigil

Dear Peace Group supporters,

This is just to let you know that a group of concerned citizens of Abingdon have come together to call for a vigil at the War Memorial at 6pm this Thursday, September 4th, to “shine a light on the tragic loss of life and immense suffering of the Palestinian people.” You are invited to bring candles, flags and placards. The Imam of Abingdon Muslims, Dr Hamid Al-Shejni, has agreed to offer a short prayer and a few words to call for peace. After the vigil there will be a brief pot-banging, and a collection for the charity MAP – Medical Aid for Palestinians.
