Don’t Buy Apartheid day of action tomorrow, Saturday 20 September

As news from Israel’s genocide in Gaza continues to stream in, along with reports of the daily Israeli military invasions and killings in the West Bank, it’s an outrage that British supermarkets are still stocking Israeli goods and Coca-Cola products.

Tomorrow, we’re protesting at supermarkets across Britain to demand that they take them off the shelves.

Palestinians are continuing to experience Israel’s almost unimaginable violence. In Gaza City, Israel is flattening entire residential buildings to force the population to flee south. Doctors at the Al Ahli Baptist Hospital in the city described the situation as “beyond any human mind can imagine or can conceive.”

Palestinians ask us to show solidarity with their struggle for freedom by taking action to end the complicity of corporations in the oppression that they face.

When supermarkets sell Israeli fresh produce like avocadoes, herbs and dates, and Coca-Cola products, they are profiting from Israel’s genocide, colonisation and ethnic cleansing.    

Israeli fresh produce is grown and packaged on land stolen from Palestinians. Coca-Cola’s Israeli franchisee operates in an illegal industrial settlement based in Jerusalem. The settlement is part of Israel’s project to isolate and ethnically cleanse Palestinians from the city.

These companies also pay tax revenue to the Israeli state, which helps it continue to fund its genocide in Gaza.

Supermarkets must stop profiting from Israel’s atrocities, and take these goods off their shelves. Join your local action tomorrow (20 Sept).

Our mass consumer boycott is working. Recent data has revealed that Israeli imports to the UK are plummeting due to our consumer boycott campaign.

Protests outside supermarkets allow us to speak to members of the public, and further grow support for the mass boycott of Israeli goods and Coca-Cola.
