A possible option during Armed Forces Day?

Event Date: 29th June 2019
Location: Quaker Meeting House, 51 Wilton Road, SP2 7EP

The Quaker Meeting House, 51 Wilton Road, will be open between 1 and 4pm on Saturday, June 29, offering tea and cake and a quiet space for those who want to get away from massed bands and marching feet. They will have materials on display which speak to their peace testimony, such as handouts, pamphlets and films.

This is part of Salisbury Quakers’ response to the Armed Forces Day events. They are convinced that no war, since the dawn of time, has ever been inevitable. Wars happen because of injustice, oppression, inequality and the failure of politics. They believe that our government and others should be working towards reducing these triggers of war.
