We face perhaps the most dangerous moment of our lives, and it is vital that there is an immediate and energetic popular response.

That is why we are launching a a ‘US military out of Britain’ petition today and holding an online emergency meeting on Sunday.

Donald Trump’s turn towards naked, gun boat imperialism is crushing national rights, tearing up international law and threatening wider war and chaos. He still has his sights on Greenland.

The response from Starmer and other European leaders has been pitiful. Their first instinct has been tawdry appeasement. Few European leaders spoke out against the kidnapping of Venezuelan President Maduro. Days later, Starmer colluded in the illegal seizure of a Russian flagged tanker.

Now they have finally realised the extent of Trump’s aggression they are imitating him – ramping up arms spending, militarising society and bringing in conscription.

We are asking all of our supporters to get active from now to counter the drive to war.
