We’re excited to announce the theme for this year’s annual global conference, #NoWar2026: Beyond Borders, happening on October 23-25 on Zoom. If you’re a long-time WBW subscriber, you’ll know that our annual conferences are an important moment for coming together as a global network to learn, share, and renew our commitment to work towards war abolition. If you’re new to WBW, we invite you to reserve your spot for our annual global gathering to hear from incredible speakers and meet our staff and chapters from around the world.
Throughout three days of panels, workshops, and breakout rooms on Zoom, the #NoWar2026 Conference will examine the interconnections of the war system, migration, and the border industry, with case studies from around the world. War and militarism drive people from their homes, causing mass displacement. And the very same weapons companies profiting from war and conflict cash in when governments militarize borders and block the movement of people fleeing violence.
#NoWar2026 will create a space for global dialogue among activists, organizers, researchers, and educators to share lived experiences, learn from each other, and strategize for a world beyond the violence of both war and borders.
