After the virus : can we build a better world?

The COVID-19 pandemic is a global emergency, bringing devastation to millions around the world. The unprecedented action by governments to combat the virus shows that policies can change rapidly in the interests of society as a whole. We need to extend this changing narrative to include key existential issues: preventing nuclear war and combatting climate chaos.

If a better world can be built, what role must the peace movement play in building it? To discuss this topic, we invite you to join CND’s next seminar After the virus: can we build a better world? at 2pm on Saturday 9th May.

We’ll be joined by Reiner Braun, Executive Director of the International Peace Bureau. The discussion will be hosted by Kate Hudson, CND general secretary and Ian Chamberlain, CND press and communications officer.
