HOW TO WATCH THE FILM ON CURZON HOME CINEMA
a brief note from Executive Producer, Christo Hird

As you know, Vicki is busy at home looking after baby Rosa (2 months old today – how time flies) so I am writing in her stead. We have had a number of queries on exactly how to view the film when it launches, so here are some quick instructions.

On Friday 15th May, THE ATOM: A LOVE AFFAIR will premiere on Curzon Home Cinema, followed by a Q&A with director Vicki Lesley and the film’s narrator actor, author and activist Lily Cole.
I know many of you have been following and supporting this film for a long time, in some cases for many years. I’m sure you will feel the wait has been worth it.

As you may remember, after last year’s premiere at Leeds International Film Festival, the New Scientist said it ”takes no sides, and pulls no punches, in its witty and admirably objective archival account of the West’s relationship with nuclear power”.Last week Andrew Collins, film editor at the Radio Times called it “stridently clear, provocative….excellent.” And when Jon Alexander, co-founder of the New Citizenship Project watched it he said: “an astonishing piece of work, on all levels. Thank you for what you do”

Independent documentaries like this one often take years of work, with every penny of funding a struggle. After over a decade to get to this point, all of us involved with the film are delighted to be finally bringing it to audiences across the country via the Curzon’s online platform.

Please do spread the word to anyone you think would like to see it.

Regards,

Christo
