Welfare not Warfare! 14th of June we take the streets for peace and justice!

Event Date: 14th June 2026
Location: 2:00 p.m., Brussels North.

INVITATION

 ACTION AND ASSEMBLY

 Dear friends,

The global situation is worsening by the day—and even by the hour.

Genocide, impunity, bombings, nuclear threats, the collapse of the international order, and the erosion of human rights are becoming the norm. Just yesterday, the world was gripped by the terrifying possibility of a nuclear strike on Iran by the United States and Israel, and now a fragile ceasefire is put in danger by the ongoing war of Israel on Lebanon.

Meanwhile, EU leadership appears blind to the consequences of its dangerous double standards.

It is our collective responsibility to resist these wars and break the spiral of violence that benefits only a few at the cost of countless lives and our planet!

We urge you to take to the streets. Raise your voice for peace in these critical times. Demand accountability from those in power.

Their wars, their profits — our dead.

In this newsletter you will find the updated information for our European mobilization to Brussels and the first in-person StopReArm Europe assembly on the 14th of June, as well as our current plans for a week of decentralized action 14th-21st of June.

 INVITATION TO BRUSSELS

SAVE THE DATES:

European mobilization: Welfare, not Warfare!

Sunday, June 14, 2:00 p.m., Brussels North.

We join forces with the Stop Militarization Platform in Belgium,
in a march for prosperity, against war! Here the call of the Stop Militarization Platform:

We call on everyone who stands for peace and social justice to join the European demonstration in Brussels on June 14 to advocate for investments in people, not in war.

  • For peace and security – invest in health, education, decent jobs, climate transition and social protection, not in weapons and the militarization of society.
  • For respect for international law – uphold the UN Charter and safeguard the dignity of all people, protect human rights and labor rights, promote social and climate justice.
  • For social dialogue and diplomacy – bring people and nations together, instead of driving them apart.
  • For investment in international solidarity and cooperation – sustainable development is the best guarantee for a safe and stable society, and therefore for conflict prevention.
  • For disarmament – arms control and nuclear disarmament to ensure peace and security

INVITATION TO ON-SITE ASSEMBLY

Sunday, June 14, 17:00, Brussels (tbc)

As a broad coalition, we aim to build on the momentum of the major demonstration in Brussels on June 14.

We encourage each group and organisation to send a delegation of organisers to the in-person Stop ReArm Europe Assembly, taking place on Sunday, June 14, 2026, in the evening following the demonstration. This will be a key moment to strategise and discuss our shared actions for peace and against the militarisation of our continent.

We look forward to bringing together groups and organisations from across the movement to reflect on the next steps after our first joint international mobilisation. We explicitly invite feminist, anti-racist, environmental, and labour movements, as well as civil society organisations, to join forces at this pivotal moment.

Please register for the Stop ReArm Europe Assembly in Brussels on Sunday, June 14, 5–9pm:
