Not the cost counted in budgets, headlines, or maps—but the cost paid in homes, in classrooms, in hospital rooms, and in the quiet lives of people who never chose to be part of history. The True Price of War is a short, powerful, and deeply human book of reflective stories. Each chapter focuses on an ordinary person—a child, a mother, a doctor, a refugee, a teacher, a survivor—and a single moment in which the meaning of conflict becomes personal and irreversible.
