Be More Juli, a community gathering

We would love to invite you to Be More Juli, a community gathering taking place on Thursday 21 May, from 2.00–4.00pmat the Canterbury Room and garden at St Thomas’s House, Salisbury.

This will be a chance to come together to remember Juli Richardson, to celebrate her life, and to reflect on the kindness, energy, and practical support she gave so generously to so many people, groups, and projects across Salisbury and beyond.

For those who knew Juli well, the afternoon will be an opportunity to share memories, stories, and quiet moments of reflection. For others who knew her through volunteering or local community work, it will be a chance to recognise the difference she made through the many everyday acts of care, effort, and encouragement that helped keep things going.

As part of the gathering, there will be a memory book in which people are invited to write a short reflection on Juli’s contribution to the groups, projects, and people she supported. You might want to share a small story, a moment of kindness, something practical Juli did that made a difference, or simply a few words about what she meant to you and to the community around her. We hope this will become a lasting record of the many ways Juli helped others and strengthened local community life.

The event is also inspired by the idea of Be More Juli – not only remembering all that Juli gave to others, but thinking about how her example of friendship, service, and getting stuck in can continue to inspire and support local community life.

There will be time to meet and talk with others, hear testimony from people who knew and experienced the powerful contribution Juli made to community life, refreshments, and an opportunity to add to the memory book if you would like to.

We would be very pleased if you were able to join us.
