[ICAN UK] Save the date: Nuclear Justice Now campaign launch event
Good afternoon,
Save the date: Nuclear Justice Now campaign launch
We are pleased to invite you to the launch of Nuclear Justice Now, a campaign calling for greater transparency and accountability for the UK’s nuclear testing legacy in Kiribati.
Between 1957 and 1962, the UK and the US conducted 33 nuclear tests in Kiribati, with lasting consequences for affected communities and the environment. Yet, almost 70 years on, significant questions about the UK’s responsibility and the legacy of these tests remain unanswered.
The campaign brings together affected communities, UK parliamentarians, academics and campaigners to amplify voices, uncover evidence and press for greater accountability.
Date: Tuesday 29th September 2026

Lauren Muir
