Protest at the Labour Party Conference

On 26 September we march for Palestine in Liverpool on the eve of Labour Party Conference to demand the new Prime Minister take urgent action to Stop Arming Israel and impose sanctions now. Will you join us?
Israel is currently ramping up its attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank and the theft of Palestinian land.
In response Foreign Secretary, Ed Miliband, has said the government will introduce “comprehensive measures” against Israel’s settlements.
However, it will not be possible to put real pressure on Israel to end its colonisation and ethnic cleansing of Palestinian land unless Britain comprehensively sanctions the Israeli state, not just settlements.
This is because Israel has ensured that the illegal settlements and production networks are integrated into its wider economy. This deliberately makes it impossible to identify ‘settlement goods’.

Britain’s complicity in Israel’s unlawful occupation, apartheid and genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank and throughout their homeland goes well beyond trade with Israel’s illegal settlements.
Last year the Labour government allowed record arms sales to Israel. Israel uses these weapons to maintain its illegal occupation and genocide against Palestinians.
Britain also gives government contracts to companies like Palantir, Oracle and Cisco which sell surveillance technology and equipment that the Israeli government, military and police use to maintain the occupation against Palestinians.
To truly end complicity in Israels violence and pressure it to stop, the government must end all contracts with these companies and implement a two-way arms embargo on Israel.
