Hiroshima and Nagasaki 75 years on

In 1945, the United States dropped nuclear bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki with tragic and devastating consequences. Hundreds of thousands of people died, many instantaneously, others soon after from burns and shock, and yet more from the impact of radiation in the months and years that followed.

75 years later, we ask you to join us in commemorating the anniversaries of these bombings, to remind ourselves why we campaign for a world without nuclear weapons. Events are happening across the country, as well as online. You can get involved from your home or garden or you can join your nearest event.

On the night, a small team went to our normal venue to talk to anyone who had not seen the publicity surrounding our event this year!
