Rebecca Johnson talking on the Nuclear Weapons Treaty

Abingdon Peace Group monthly meeting on Tuesday Nov 17th at 8pm is about the Nuclear Weapons Treaty, and they have an amazing speaker: Rebecca Johnson. As I hope you know, the UN Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) received its 50th ratification on United Nations Day 24 October, and will now enter into international legal force on 22 January 2021. Rebecca Johnson was the first president of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) and now directs the Acronym Institute for Disarmament Diplomacy (AIDD). She will lead us in a discussion of what we need to do to make the TPNW stick.
