UP FOR OUR WEBINAR TODAY!
Those who have seen and felt the effects of a nuclear weapon deserve restorative justice. Join us and guest speakers including Mary Dickson (Utah Downwinder and playwright), Keith Kiefer (Atomic Cleanup Veteran), Susan Gordan (New Mexico Downwinder and Coordinator at Multicultural Alliance for a Safe Environment), and Larry King (Dinè activist, eyewitness to Church Rock spill, and former uranium miner). We are honored to be joined by these individuals who are on the frontline to a better world.
XOXO,
Yasmeen and the rest of the Beyond the Bomb team
Dear Peter,
This February, whether you’re celebrating with your Galentine or your Valentine, it’s important to remember that love is so much better than war.
At Beyond the Bomb, we’re demanding the U.S. start practicing safe, consensual nuclear policies that Make Love, Not War! After all, standing up to social injustices has a certain sense of je ne sais quoi. Join others in the fight for restorative justice and learn from impacted communities who have experienced the effects of the nuclear system first hand. Join frontline leaders on Wednesday 2/24 at 8pm EST to learn about the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA) and how to start practicing safer nuclear practices!
UP FOR OUR WEBINAR TODAY!
The U.S. built and tested nuclear weapons on their own soil for decades without protecting or adequately informing surrounding communities and those they hired to work on these projects of their exposure to dangerous levels of radiation. It is appalling that the majority of this was done without the consent or knowledge of nearby communities and workers.
In 1990, RECA began offering health care and compensation to a select few of those exposed. Without Congressional action, RECA will expire in 2022. It is time to take action now to make sure no one is at risk from unsafe nuclear policies and protect everyone who has already been hurt! Listen and learn from speakers such as Mary Dickson (Utah Downwinder and playwright), Keith Kiefer (Atomic Cleanup Veteran), Larry King (Dinè activist, eyewitness to Church Rock spill, and former uranium miner) and Susan Gordan (New Mexico Downwinder and Coordinator at Multicultural Alliance for a Safe Environment).
SIGN UP NOW!
This Valentine’s, let’s show love to those our government has left behind and start practicing safe nuclear policies,
XOXO,
Rachel and the Beyond the Bomb team.
