The Nuclear free local authorities (NFLA) is holding a Spring Webinar

Event Date: 5th March 2021
Location: Internet 11:05 - 11:35am

On Friday 5th March 11:00-13:00.

The Nuclear free local authorities (NFLA) is holding a Spring Webinar.

A flyer for this event is attached. The NFLA especially encourage Councillors and NGOs to attend, but all supporters are welcome to join in. The webinar will discuss three issues:

    Sizewell C 11.05 – 11.35am
The Sizewell C new nuclear project is about to go to a full public inquiry – what are the main environmental and financial concerns of it going ahead?

    Cumbrian Coal mine 11.35am – 12.05pm
Why are environmental groups opposing it, and what are the wider issues over a possible offshore radioactive waste repository being built in West Cumbria

    Zero-carbon future
Councils are all heavily involved in developing policies to promote a zero-carbon future. How can decentralised energy be progressed within the financial challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic?

There will be a Q & A session following the presentations

To register for this webinar, which will be held on Microsoft Teams, email the NFLA Secretary Sean Morris – [email protected] – who will send a meeting invitation. Sean can be contacted on 07771 930196.
