Armed Forces Day: Saturday 26th June

With Covid restrictions still in place, Armed Forces Day will not feature the usual “National Event” with big parades. However, some towns and cities are still planning to mark the day, with schools likely to get in on the act and the government trumpeting a militarist line.

Armed Forces Day is not about helping veterans. It is about normalising militarism and putting the armed forces and their leaders beyond criticism.
