Stop the Arms Fairs! Stop DSEI 2021 in London; Liverpool Against the Arms Fair.
Stop the Arms Fair’s big day of action, Tank the Arms Fair, is planned on 14th September the first day of the London DSEI 2021 arms fair. It will feature a range of protests, speakers, practical trainings and creative actions. More details here and via @StoptheArmsFair on Twitter.
On either side of the fair a series of different protests and events are planned, running from the 6th-16th Sept, starting with Disarm DSEI’s Critical Mass cycle protest. Whether your focus is on Palestine, demilitarised education, climate justice, migration, borders, anti-racism, you can find the full growing list of events here.
CAAT will be running Digital Conference at the Gates online on Saturday 11th, with a focus on getting the arms trade out of science, technology, engineering and mathematics teaching. Everyone interested in getting the arms trade out of our universities and colleges is welcome. More details here
We are also supporting Art the Arms Fair, whose amazing thought-provoking gallery returns to central London from 11-17 Sept. Get more information from their website [here] and follow them on@ArttheArmsFair on Twitter, which is showcasing some of the great art that will be on display.
If you are in the North West of England, our friends Liverpool Against the Arms Fair have called a demonstration on 11 September in the city. They are saying no to the electronic warfare event planned in the city, exactly one month later in October. They will be featuring speakers and a rally. More information here, with updates via their Twitter account (@AgainstArms).
Whether you are in London, Liverpool or online; are a scientist, artist or cyclist, the arms trade has no place in our communities. We hope you will be able to join one of these great actions, and say no arms fairs anywhere.
