Sadly we have taken the decision to meet only on-line tomorrow, so please DON’T COME to the Northcourt Centre – but please DO JOIN us on-line with a drink and a nibble in hand, paper & pencil for the quiz(zes), a quotation or bon mot to share, and of course wearing a Christmas Hat or something equally festive (red table napkins have been worn!).

2021 has been a mixed bag for the Peace Group. On the one hand, military spending has gone up (in the UK’s case, by almost exactly the same amount that Overseas Aid has gone down), Biden’s USA has appeared to be at least as bellicose as Trump’s, and many wars have continued unabated.

On the other hand, New York signed up to the TPNW New York City joins ICAN Cities Appeal – ICAN (icanw.org) and 100s of Nobel Laureates called on the NW states to reduce their arsenals year-on-year Nobel Laureates, Hundreds of Scientists Call on Biden to Reduce Nuclear Threat (commondreams.org) .
