Event Date: 26th February 2022
Location: Local hospitals
With the NHS in crisis, CND has joined the SOS NHS coalition of health campaigns, trade unions and supporters calling on the government to invest an emergency £20 billion now to help hospitals during these winter months. You can read more about it in the SOS NHS supporters guide here.
Our Nurses not Nukes campaign could not be more relevant. It is shocking to think that the government is spending £205 billion to replace Trident, while denying health workers the pay rise they deserve and the NHS the investment it needs amid a raging pandemic. That money should be spent on saving lives, not building weapons to take millions of them.
SOS NHS actions will be taking place across the country on Saturday 26 February. Please link up with your local health campaigns, who will be taking action at local hospitals and town centres. It’s vital that we use our Nurses not Nukes message to show how relevant nuclear disarmament is to people’s lives.
