Join us on March 8, International Women’s Day, to engage with the women defining the future of space. Hear from and talk with Timiebi Aganaba, Kaitlyn Johnson, and Victoria Samson in conversation with Loren Grush. Topics we will cover include: the privatization of space, the weaponization of space amid the current Ukraine-Russia situation, the future of space governance, and more. Our program features two contributors from the Bulletin’s January/February magazine issue on “Conflicts in Space.”

Timiebi Aganaba (speaker) is an assistant professor of Space and Society, in the School for the Future of Innovation in Society, an affiliate faculty with the Interplanetary Initiative, a senior global futures scientist with the Global Futures Lab, and holds a courtesy appointment at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, all at Arizona State University.

Kaitlyn Johnson (speaker) is deputy director and fellow of the Aerospace Security Project at the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

Victoria Samson (speaker) is the Washington office director for the Secure World Foundation, an organization that focuses on space sustainability, and she has over 20 years of experience in military space and security issues.

Loren Grush (moderator) is a science reporter for The Verge, the technology and culture brand from Vox Media, where she specializes in all things space—from distant stars and planets to human space flight and the commercial space race.
