Wool against weapons

Knit for Peace!

National CND threw its weight behind Wool Against Weapons, the new initiative that aimed to raise awareness of nuclear weapons by encouraging a lot of people to help knit/crochet a giant pink scarf!

They need about 2,000 pieces of knitting in order to create a seven-mile scarf that would connect AWE Aldermaston and AWE Burghfield on 9th August.

Some Salisbury Quakers and Salisbury CND members combined their efforts to provide a useful contribution to the day’s success.
