One Planet Abingdon is collaborating with Global Education and Development to offer a summer camp with a difference.
- Age of campers: 8 -16-year-olds
- Date of the camp: Monday 28th August to Friday 1st September
- Time: 8am – 10 am (Breakfast); 10 am- 4 pm (Camp)
- Fee: £25 for the week (without breakfast) (including breakfast £55 for the week). We are inclusive – please let us know if the fee is prohibitive
- Venue: One Planet Abingdon
- Our staff are DBS-checked
Aim of the week:
To develop an important capacity for personal development and socialization, that of being at peace with oneself and with others. Young people will learn to develop attitudes which then form part of more peaceful relationships with other young people, their families and their society. They learn to respect and appreciate each other, to listen to each other, to help each other and to build the future together. They experiment with new artistic techniques, stage themselves from their stories, present their shows and their creations at convivial parties with their peers and the family… The facilitators are trained in this methodology and participate actively in the sessions (more info at www.peaceducation.uk).
