An Invitation
In April, more than 200 organisations – and over 100,000 people – came together in London to highlight the crises we are facing.

We need to build on this momentum and are inviting you to be involved in a day of action on Saturday 28th October. This inclusive, family-friendly day will be in Bath, based at Victoria Park. It will provide people with the chance to gather together peacefully to share their concerns and seek change. Groups already involved include Friends of the Earth Bristol, Christian Climate Action, Stop Rosebank, Bath Stop War…..
The climate and nature crises are connected to all of our social issues. The cost of living crisis is the price of climate and environmental inaction along with the pursuit of huge profits for a few, to the detriment of so many.
We need an effective strategy for change and, right now, all signs point toward needing cooperation between groups, movements and individuals to bring this about.
So please join us to help make this possible. We are a global, non-violent network and, as in April at The Big One, this protest will not disrupt the public or promote law-breaking. It is really important to us that you are involved and we look forward to finding out how you would like this day to look.
Reasons to be involved:
To increase public support for action on the climate crisis, biodiversity loss and social injustice through mobilisation and media coverage;
To build alliances between groups who are concerned about the crises we face and strengthen networks;
To send strong messages to Members of Parliament and local government;
To raise community spirit.
With the hottest September since records began, scientists agree we are reaching tipping points faster than they expected. That’s why it is so important that we pull together as a community to make our voices heard.
So, Unite to Survive South West in Bath could not be more timely: working as a coalition with climate, nature and social justice groups we stand in solidarity with all human and non-human species to express our desire for change.
Join this family friendly event from 10-5pm on 28th October at Victoria Park, Bath.
We have a broad range of allies signed up including Greenpeace, Wiltshire Wildlife Trust,
Kidical Mass and Edible Bristol with more partners signing up all the time!
If you are a member of any social justice, nature, or climate groups, please consider speaking to your group co-ordinator about coming to the zoom open call (OR, here is a suggested invitation letter which you can copy to send to your group)
To find out how you and your local group can get involved coming to our final zoom call on Sunday 22nd at 6-7pm. Any questions before contact [email protected]
Finally, if you would like to offer accommodation in Bath on Friday 27th or Saturday 28th October, then please complete this jotform.
If you cannot come but still want to make this happen then please do think about donating, any amount no matter how small will help make the day a success!
We look forward to seeing you there!
