The government has continued to escalate its attacks on the pro-Palestine movement with Rishi Sunak and James Cleverly issuing further threats to clampdown on the right to protest. Our protests are not extremist but represent majority views in this country – unlike the politicians who are supporting Israel’s war on Gaza.
We will continue to march. And if Sunak cares about democracy he should call an election. Let’s see how much support his repressive views have.
The real extremists, like Liz Truss and Suella Braverman, are made welcome in his party.
All this means there’s never been a more important time to continue protesting. Make sure you’re on the streets on Saturday as we march from Hyde Park Corner to the US Embassy in Nine Elms.

National Demonstration – Sat 9 March – Stop the Genocide in Gaza!
The situation in Gaza continues to deteriorate. Half a million people are facing starvation and acute food shortages are affecting the whole population.
Last week, a report by scientists at Johns Hopkins University and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine said an escalation in the bombardment could kill up to 85,000 Palestinians in the next six months – bringing the death toll to around 115,000 people. This is an unthinkable scenario and we must do all we can to ensure it doesn’t become a reality.
This means we have to keep building our movement of millions in support of the Palestinians to reflect the anger of the public towards our politicians and demand that they call for an end to the killing.
