Israel’s genocidal attack on Palestinians in the Gaza Strip has now killed 30,000 Palestinians. Rumours are circulating that there may be a temporary pause during Ramadan. This simply isn’t enough. A pause would allow Israel to resume its massacres after a month and would do nothing to address the root causes of this violence, Israel’s system of military occupation and apartheid.Join the day of actionWe must keep demanding an immediate ceasefire to end Israel’s assault and keep protesting until Palestine is free. This weekend, we are taking action in towns and cities across Britain. Protests will focus on Barclays, which is bankrolling arms companies supplying Israel with the weapons it uses to carry out its attacks. Will you join the day of action on Saturday?Pledge to join the Barclays BoycottIt’s so important that we take action to stop Barclays from financing the killing of more Palestinians. Barclays invests in arms companies including Elbit Systems, which produces armoured drones, artillery weapons and munitions used by Israeli forces. It also invests in General Dynamics, which produces the gun systems that arm Israel’s fighter jets currently bombing Gaza.On 9 February, more than 1500 Barclays customers shut their accounts in protest at the bank’s financing of Israel’s genocidal assault. We’re calling on remaining Barclays customers to pledge to close their accounts on the 2nd mass account closure day, 21 March. If you’re a Barclays customer, click to join the boycott below. We’ll send you everything you need to shut your account and have an impact. Closing your account is most effective when done collectively with hundreds of others on a single day…so please pledge below and prepare to shut your account on 21 March.Join the day of actionWe won’t stop taking to the streets until there’s a full and permanent ceasefire, until Israel’s system of colonialism, military occupation and apartheid is dismantled and until Palestinians live in freedom.See you on the streets this weekend. In solidarity,LewisPSC Campaigns OfficerPS – Please join us in London on Saturday 9 March for our National March for Palestine.
