Since our last trade union conference the world has become an even more dangerous place. The genocidal assault unleashed by Israel, supported by the US and Britain, has led to over 34,000 Palestinians murdered. Rishi Sunak recently declared that the UK is now on ‘a war footing’, with cuts to public services on the horizon to pay for his increase in defence spending to 2.5% of GDP by 2030. Meanwhile, the horrific destruction of human lives we are witnessing in Ukraine, Yemen and elsewhere continues to escalate.
The world is at war – the question this conference will address is how we stop the warmongers.Trade unionists from across the UK will be coming together to discuss these issues and their experiences on how they have built pro-Palestine initiatives in their unions and workplaces. Get your branch to support and send a delegation.
