Stop the War Coalition

Stop the War turns 25

For the last 25 years Stop the War has been campaigning against the British establishment’s addiction to war. Unfortunately we need to keep going and to do so we need your help.

Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband declared at Labour Party conference last week that the Palestine movement “was right”. But as Andrew Murray said, Stop the War has been proved right on every issue we have campaigned on. From the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Yemen and Palestine our movement has made the right call when the political establishment got it wrong.

However, as a trail of death and destruction is left behind from military campaigns overseas, and a culture of distrust, racism and division grows at home, being right is of little comfort. What we need is for this madness to stop.

Defence Minister, Wes Streeting claims the world is more dangerous than it has ever been in his lifetime. No thanks to his party, of course.

In the absence of a change in direction from the government, it is up to us in the movement to show there is another way. Help us achieve that goal.
