Oklo is “pushing dirt around in an Idaho field” while Deep Fission is burying itself. It’s not looking very good for the small modular reactor market.

Deep dive into the money pit

An Iceberg Research report that said the Deep Fission micro reactor project’s stock offering looked like “a late attempt to ride the SMR hype, and dump a stranded asset onto retail investors,” sent shares tumbling. Oklo, another micro reactor scheme, is nothing more than a building site in Idaho. NuScale - the original “flagship” SMR project that hit the rocks in 2023 and is attempting to refloat the wreck - along with Deep Fission, are being investigated for possible securities fraud for misleading shareholders.
