Steve Bannon has called for ICE to “surround the polls” on Election Day.

Posted: 30th October 2026

MAGA media personality and former Trump adviser Steve Bannon has called for ICE to “surround the polls” on Election Day.

Trump said earlier this year that he’s willing to send ICE and National Guard troops to polling places. Markwayne Mullin, head of the Department of Homeland Security, wouldn’t rule out ICE from showing up to voting locations to address so-called “threats.” The White House should unequivocally rule out such a clearly illegal act of voter intimidation, but it won’t because it wants to spread fear before the midterms.

Congress must speak out now against sending ICE and troops to the polls, then pass legislation to protect the vote from armed, authoritarian scare tactics.

Tell Congress: Keep ICE and military troops away from the polls! >>

Democratic senators have introduced two pieces of legislation that double down on prohibiting armed military and federal agents from terrorizing polling places: the Protect Our Polls Act and the Safe Access to the Polls Act.

Trump fired independent election monitors, installed election deniers in key administration positions, threatened criminal charges against states who don’t follow his anti-democratic election orders, and launched an all-out attack on mail voting — moves that present direct threats to voting on November 3.

Under Trump and Stephen Miller’s mass deportations policy, ICE continues spreading violence and fear through our communities. These far-right security forces don’t belong at polling places.

Congress must urgently call for an end to Trump’s strongman voter suppression.

Send a message to your lawmakers: Call to keep ICE and troops away from the polls, and pass two key bills to ban the use of federal law enforcement agencies for voter intimidation at the polls. >>
