The fight to Stop Trident continuesParliament may have voted to replace Trident last week, but the debate at Westminster and around the country is continuing. You can catch up on the debate and watch contributions here.

You can find out how your MP voted through the CND website, where you can also write to them to make it clear that despite the vote, you still oppose Trident.

CND and our allies were outside Parliament while the debate was taking place. We were joined by a number of anti-Trident MPs who addressed the crowd. As has so often been the case the genuine discussion on the future of Trident and our security was taking place outside Parliament while MPs voted to maintain an outdated relic which will cost at least £205bn.

CND will continue to urge MPs from all parties to Stop Trident and focus instead on investing in areas which benefit our society, like health and education, while tackling the security threats we face in the 21st Century.

In the autumn we will be taking the Stop Trident message to the party conferences. We’ll be talking to delegates at the Liberal Democrat, Labour and Conservative Conferences.

We’ll be announcing more details of these events in the coming weeks.
