Forest Fire Near Fukushima Could Spread Radiation Threat

A  fire has broken out in the heavily polluted forest close to Fukushima.  This carries the risk of further spread of radiation as radionuclides are drawn into the air by the fire and carried by the wind.  Such polluted forests near both Fukushima and Chernobyl have been described as “ticking time-bombs”.
