[ICAN UK] NFLA report and media release on divestment issues from fossil fuels and nuclear weapons

Dear colleagues,

I attach a NFLA Policy Briefing and media release which includes a thorough analysis of the issues around divestment for Local Authority Pension Funds from investments in fossil fuels and nuclear weapons.

The report has been discussed with colleagues in ICAN and Don’t Bank on the Bomb, as well as detailed research from the UK Divest coalition. I have also discussed the matter previously with Unison. My thanks to them. Please disseminate the report through your networks. There are also two appendices of useful resolutions to encourage Councils in this area.
