Dear TP Women,

Some ex-Greenham women have organised a short 4 day walk from Faslane to Glasgow and invite you to join them. I am going with my ex-Greenham hat on but also as part of TP, XR Peace, CAAT, Reforest the Earth, CND, etc etc – so many important links to make carrying on the traditions of Greenham. You can book for free at  https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/greenham-women-walk-to-cop26-faslane-to-glasgow-tickets-189188095687  This is so that the organisers have some idea of numbers of women coming along. When you book in you will also be able to get teh route information.

The organisers say ‘All women of all ages and all anti-war, social justice, stop climate change, peace organisations are welcome to join Greenham Women for Life On Earth walk from Faslane to Glasgow. The aim of the walk is to raise awareness about the exclusion of all military emissions from the climate change discussions. THEY MUST BE INCLUDED and the military made accountable for their climate catastrophe making pollution.’

I do hope some of you will join us, love and peace, Angie.

“Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies,in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children.”
Dwight D. Eisenhower

McSorley explained that, “The taproot of violence in our society today is our intention to use nuclear weapons. Once we have agreed to that, all other evil is minor in comparison. Until we squarely face the question of our consent to use nuclear weapons, any hope of large scale improvement of public morality is doomed to failure.”
