Join A COP26 Protest in Your Area

“The last century has largely been a century of imperialist wars and inextricably a century of climate change due to human actions. From the extraction of fossil fuels to the advancement of military technology, modern warfare has contributed to unsustainable levels of GHG emissions. If we are to achieve the targeted net-zero emissions, then an ethical foreign policy has to be one of the pillars of a green economy.” - Sweta Choudhury’s latest article for the Stop the War website.

The fact is if we want to end warming, we need to end war. That’s why Stop the War groups are joining protests across the UK this Saturday calling on world leaders at the COP26 summit in Glasgow to take action to cut war and fight climate chaos. Make sure you join your local demonstration.

There will be a Peace and Demilitarisation Bloc on the Glasgow Climate Justice March tomorrow (Sat 6 Nov). The bloc will assemble just north of the Tigress & Cubs Statue, Kelvingrove Park at 11:45 am. The bloc will join the march to Glasgow Green at 12:30.
