Bill Kidd MSP: BEFORE Christmas, I expected to spend the first full weekof the new year leading the delegation for Parliamentarians for NonProliferation and Nuclear Disarmament (PNND) at the 10th Review Conferenceof the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty (NPT RevCon). This was scheduled totake place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. It would havebeen an opportunity for nuclear armed states to discuss their commitment tostop the spread of nuclear weapons to different countries and the increaseof weapon stockpiles – both actions are called nuclear proliferation. However, unfortunately this – like many things – has been postponed due tothe pandemic.
