Invitation to Sign a Petition to EDF about Hinkley Point Mud

Posted: 15th November 2017

EDF are the company behind plans to build a new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point in Somerset. The plans to build this new power station are already a disaster, it’s nine years behind schedule and, when it’s built, will be the most expensive object on earth.

Now, EDF are planning to dredge up mud contaminated by the previous Hinkley power stations to make way for the new power station, but this mud may be dangerously radioactive. many of us have signed a petition asking EDF to show that this mud is safe. Can you sign too?: https://secure.greenpeace.org.uk/edf-mud-share

EDF are planning on dumping this mud in the Severn Estuary, just 1 mile away from Cardiff. Can you quickly sign a petition to get EDF to stop plans to dump this mud, until we know whether it’s safe to dredge or not: https://secure.greenpeace.org.uk/edf-mud-share
