ICAN achieved something amazing in 2017

Dear friends,
 
This has been an overwhelmingly amazing year for the campaign. Thanks to people like you, we managed to put enough pressure on governments to negotiate, adopt and start signing and ratifying the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.

And if that wasn’t enough, we were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for it!!!! Check out this great video about what’s next for us.



Our ability to make states negotiate, adopt and sign the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons was made possible because of the support we have from people like you. So thank you – you made this happen!

But while we have been taking a short break over the holidays to recharge, we already have great plans for 2018.

With the Nobel Peace Prize, we been given an unprecedented opportunity to make an impact. We will be using the platform to call for an end to nuclear weapons, and we will use the prize money to kickstart a “1000 Day Fund” to empower campaigns that help achieve that end.

We will use this fund to support projects and activities aimed at getting the Treaty to enter into force and change policies for those states that still are outside the Treaty within 1000 days.

Thank you again for the support you have given us this year, you really made a difference for us!
