FARINGDON PEACE GROUPJOINS THE GLOBAL DAY OF ACTION AGAINST WAR IN UKRAINE, SUNDAY 6TH MARCH

If you are watching the terrible events unfolding in Ukraine and want to add your voice to the growing opposition to the war, Faringdon Peace Group invites you to join them in the ‘Global Day of Action’ on Sunday 6th March, when people from all over the world will unite against the war in Ukraine.
We will gather in Faringdon Market Place at 10.45 ready for an 11.00 start. The protest will finish at 12.30pm.You are welcome to stay the whole time or just drop in when you can. There will be leaflets, a petition to sign and donations to support those worst affected by the war.
If you would like to learn more about what lies behind the conflict, from a viewpoint not often heard in the mainstream media, join the Faringdon Peace Group’s monthly meeting on Zoom on Weds. 2nd March, 7.30pm prompt. Our speaker will be the socialist writer and campaigner Lindsey German, a convener of the Stop the War Coalition which she helped establish in 2001 following the events of 9/11.
