A letter from Russia via Abingdon Peace Group

Possibly the only thing we can do at the moment as peace activists, to help the suffering in Ukraine and to speed up a resolution to the terrible situation, is to spread the truth and counter misinformation. So please share all these resources widely and know that you are doing something important.

Please find attached a letter from Perm in Russia, forwarded to us by Rosie Page, a Peace Group member who has been to Perm and has maintained email contact with the friends she made there. Her correspondent gave her specific permission to share the email, indeed asked her to do so. 

Let’s keep sharing and keep making the case against escalating the war. 12 people met for the vigil yesterday at the War Memorial in Abingdon, which will continue every Monday morning from 8.15am to 8.45am until the crisis is over.
