Labour CND and the coming Labour Party Conference

It is interesting to see the approach that Labour CND is proposing for the coming party conference.

At last night’s meeting of Salisbury Labour Party, its delegates to the  Annual Conference were mandated to support Labour CND’s “contemporary motion” on Defence Diversification, if it is debated at Conference.

This is the first step to assuage the worries of workers and their Trades Unions in the defence industries about their jobs, should a Labour Government commit itself to nuclear disarmament.
