Last Wednesday was incredible.
On the International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons, ICAN was everywhere- from the streets of Santiago to the rooftops of Berlin, to the UN. There was so much going on that we can’t share it all here, but we did capture the highlights in a video:
This is what campaigning looks like. No matter where we are or who we’re talking to our message is the same- nothing about nuclear weapons is acceptable.
That means signing the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear weapons- like Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Benin, Brunei Darussalam, Guinea-Bissau, Myanmar, Seychelles, St. Lucia, and Timor-Leste.
It means ratifying the treaty, like Gambia, Samoa, San Marino and Vanuatu.
And it means disrupting the cashflow that keeps nuclear weapon producers in business.
Around the world, we’ve made ourselves heard, and we’re not stopping now.
