The Mayor of Hiroshima delivers a Peace Declaration to world

Thank you for your ongoing support and cooperation for the City of Hiroshima’s initiatives for peace.

This email is being sent to those who have connections with our city, those who continue to support our city’s efforts for peace, and many others; we hope this email finds you safe and healthy.  

We held the Peace Memorial Ceremony today on August 6. Every year during the ceremony, the Mayor of Hiroshima delivers a Peace Declaration to world, calling for the elimination of nuclear weapons from our planet and the creation of lasting world peace.

We have made a video of Mayor Matsui delivering this year’s Peace Declaration in English so that our message may reach farther and wider around the globe.
