The world has become an even more dangerous place in 2022, as we witnessed the existential threat of nuclear war shifting from being an abstract fear to an increasing probability.
 
Throughout the year, CND was, and remains, a clear voice for peace. We consistently opposed all developments that heightened the risk of nuclear confrontation, and we called for an end to the war in Ukraine and for urgent efforts at diplomacy, negotiation and peaceful settlement. Read about our actions to make the world a safer place in our annual round-up.
